| These terrific, one-of-a-kind wire wrapped creations are handcrafted using heavy gauge sterling wire as the base, sterling and gemstones from around the globe and often, hand torched artisan lampwork beads. Lampwork is a centuries-old process where glass rods are melted under a flame. The molten glass is then wrapped around a steel mandrel and then placed in a kiln to allow the glass to cool slowly. All lampwork used in a Dee Antil piece is annealed in a kiln for long lasting durability and strength. Borosilicate is a type of hard glass (Pyrex) with unique color variations. If in doubt about correct sizing, measure your wrist at the wrist bone and take into account the size of the beads, or email us with questions. Bulkier beads require a much longer bangle than your measured wrist size.
